Case
30.- Transposition of the inferior laterals, oligodontia of the
upper laterals, macrodontia of the upper right central incisor and
deviation of the skeletal midline in an 8 1/2-yr-old boy,
treated in various stages according to the following treatment
plan:
1. Maintaining
the lower arch space. 2.
Serial extractions of the dec.
laterals, lower first molars and lower canines, as well as
upper canines (at different times).
3. Inferior fixed appliances to place the lateral incisors in
position. 4. Extractions of the first lower premolars.
5. Alignment of the dental arches placing the cuspids in
place of the laterals using Alexander type appliances (.018 gap)
6. Removal of the appliances and referral to her dentist for
anatomical modifications of the canines and upper central incisors.
