Ectopic
eruption of a premolar on the palate side due to lack of space
in a 12-yr-old girl.
Clinical diagnosis: Cl
II (R) subdiv Cl I (L). Maxillary midline deviation to the
left side. Straight
profile. Hypodontia
of the 3rd molars.
Clinical diagnosis: Ectopic maxillary right second premolar.
Cephalometric diagnosis: ANB: 3. Bimaxillary protrusion.
Mesiofacial. Wits: 0. < from sella: Cl II skeletal (more
than 127 degreees). Cranial base posterior to height of ramus: closed skeletal
bite. Posterior
to anterior facial height: neutral growth.
Appliances: Alexander
.018 with Bagden type distalizing maxillary plate.
Expansion springs and midline elastics.
Duration of treatment: 20 months.
