| Condyloma
accuminatum in HIV patients
It
is the variety of wart which is most common in the
oral mucosa and appears in HIV patients.
It presents as a vegetation occurring as
a sole or multiple lesion, due to dissemination
of a papova group virus.
The shape may vary considerably, it can have
an ample sessile or pedunculated implantation base,
rosy in color, sometimes with an opaline tint, of
irregular surface, and which may present multiple
prolongations. Condyloma ccuminatum or venereal
wart, as it is also known, may appear simultaneously
in the genital area.
