| Central
giant cell granuloma
The central giant
cell reparative granuloma is a tumorous growth located in the maxillary
bones of people under 20 years of age, more commonly in females.
It is more frequent in the mandible and shows a preference
for the site of the molars and premolars.
It grows slowly and tends to displace neighboring teeth, with
hardly any discomfort involved. Radiographically we see a radiolucid area similar to a cyst.
