giant cell reparative granuloma
The peripheral
giant cell reparative granuloma is a pedunculated or sessile growth
with a smooth surface, wine red in color, sometimes lobulated and
which bleeds easily. The
lesion is limited to the gingiva and alveolar process, and may extend
to edentulous areas.The mandible is more frequently involved than
the maxilla. The mayority of patients are over 20 years of age.
