Our procedures
1.- Infection
control: practicing
infection control guarantees the patient treatment that
is free from microbial transmission, with minimal risk of
contracting infectious diseases.
2.-
Mounted cast:
dental
casts are mounted on special articulators, with the teeth
and jaws in the same position as the patient’s, for a better
diagnosis of the malocclusion.
3.- Computerized
cephalometrics: Special
computer programs are used to study the position of the
teeth and the growth of the maxilla and mandible.
4.- Bacterial
plaque control and brushing:
a
brushing and plaque control program is routinely applied
to all patients to avoid decalcifications, caries and periodontal
diseases during and as a consequence of orthodontic treatment.
5.- Indirect
technique: we
routinely utilize this technique as a rapid and precise
way to place fixed orthodontic appliances (braces).
6.-
Use of the sandblaster:
after
taking of orthodontic appliances, we use an aluminum oxide
jet spray to remove the remaining cement and to avoid damage
to the enamel. Afterwards the surfaces are polished with special rubber tips.
7.-
Topical fluoride applications: after
installation and removal of appliances, topical fluoride
is applied to fortify the dental enamel..
8.- Early
treatment: when
needed, orthopedic and functional treatments are performed
in children, to correct osseous and growth problems, thus
avoiding the worsening of malocclusions.
9.- Information
system: all
patient clinical histories (records) along with their
financial statement are computerized, which guarantees rapid
and sure service.
Account statements are mailed periodically.
