Torus

Torus palatinus and mandibularis

Very common exostoses which may be found anywhere in the maxillary and mandibular bones, its favorite places being the palatal midline and the lingual area of the mandibular premolars.  They are slow growing but may reach a tremendous size, they affect both sexes equally and are only bothersome when eroded (ulcerated) as with hard foods.
