| Common wart
The common wart or verruca
vulgaris is a lesion of viral origin, very common in children and
adolescents, which appear on the skin or mucous membranes as a localized
epithelial growth with varying presentations. Flat wart: commonly
found in the labial semimucosa as a small unique or multiple lesion,
painless, slightly elevated and flat, with color similar to the mucosa,
of reduced size and slow growth. (see
